11 steps

Our Professional Duct Cleaning Process

See exactly what happens when Flexair Mechanical cleans your duct system.

  1. Step 1

    Arrival & System Assessment

Our trained technicians arrive with professional duct-cleaning equipment and review the HVAC system with the homeowner before work begins. Cleaning typically begins around the furnace and main duct system.

  2. Step 2

Access the Supply & Return Lines

The technician identifies the main supply and return duct lines. Existing service access points are used when available; appropriate access points may be created when necessary.

  3. Step 3

    Before Inspection

Before cleaning begins, we inspect the interior of the ductwork and capture before photos where possible so the existing condition of the system can be documented.

  4. Step 4

    Prepare & Protect the Vents

Registers and vents are prepared so loosened dust and debris are directed toward the main duct system rather than being released into the home.

  5. Step 5

    Connect the Vacuum System

Our high-powered vacuum system is connected to the main trunk ductwork to create negative pressure throughout the system.

  6. Step 6

Air-Wash the Supply & Return Vents

Compressed air is used to loosen accumulated dust and debris from individual supply and return ducts while the vacuum system continuously removes displaced contaminants.

  7. Step 7

    Clean the Main Trunk Lines

After debris from individual vents reaches the main ductwork, the supply and return trunk lines are thoroughly cleaned using professional agitation equipment.

  8. Step 8

    Deep Agitation Cleaning

Specialized flexible rods and cleaning attachments are inserted deep into the duct system to loosen stubborn buildup and guide debris toward the vacuum.

  9. Step 9

    After Inspection

Once cleaning is complete, the technician inspects the cleaned ductwork and can show before-and-after results where images were captured.

  10. Step 10

    Seal Access Points

Any service access openings created during the cleaning process are properly sealed to help maintain the integrity of the duct system.

  11. Step 11

    Final Walkthrough

Before leaving, the technician cleans the work area, reviews the completed service with the customer and makes sure the job has been completed properly.
